Doug Brisotti splits his time living on land in Greenville North Carolina and on a boat at a dock somewhere most likely in eastern North Carolina. He grew up on the water on Long Island, first in Glen Cove and then in Bay Shore, spending family vacations on Peconic Bay in Mattituck. He worked as a first mate on Fire Island Ferries during High School and spent summers during college at Flynn's in Ocean Bay Park.
 
After Guilford College and ten more years in North Carolina, Doug spent fifteen years in south Florida before moving back to North Carolina to be close to his daughters.
 
Doug is a licensed Captain and does deliveries and training for owners. More likely he can be found in his 17’ Boston Whaler Montauk, storyteller, hanging out on a sandbar or having a drink with friends at a local watering hole.

Doug has two adult daughters, Kira near Washington DC, and Ella, living in Raleigh, two stepdaughters, (Master Sergeant) Shelby at Fort Liberty in Fayetteville, NC, and Lane who is in Ayden near Greenville, and currently four grandchildren.
